The rules state that the car just needs to pass through the pit stop (not stop inside it). If in 2nd gear or lower you can get the full 8 points but you can’t have more than 8 of each nitro and tyre. If you pass through the pit stop at a higher gear you still get points but just 2 less for each gear beyond 2. So, in 3rd gear you get 6 points, 4th 4 points, and 5th 2 points. Veddit, in the game you linked you are trying to go to the pit box on your final lap, which is not allowed by game rules.
